An Update....sorta-ish.... not really

So much for doing a blog a week, it's just been too busy for that. So it's gonna be more like every couple weeks, whenever I get a chance to sit and write for more than a minute or two. Lol.

Work has been crazy. When I started here, my normal massage week was 15-18 massages per week. Now, after being here a year, and truly making a name for myself...(You gotta do that in real world by the way, just because you went to a "fancy" school, or have a "fancy"degree, does NOT mean you just "get" what you want in your career. Sorry, not how that works.) ... But after making a name for myself, I now do anywhere between 20-28 massages a week now. So, busy, busy... That's for sure. Makes some damn good money too.

I've come to realise that I really only have, outside of Jon... Two, maybe three truly good friends anymore. Ones that I get more than one word responses to my texts/news, that's really fecking annoying. Might as well not even answer back at that point. Or people who say I don't text them.... The phone clearly works both ways.... Take advantage of it. Jeebus. O.O

We did a LOT of travelling in July... So much so that we've decided not to go back to Toledo until the weekend of October 8th for a concert... And that's it. No one comes to visit us, so we are officially done travelling up that way for the time being. When I've lived down here for three years now and have had people visit 3-4 times in that three year span, who then turn around and complain that we don't visit them enough. Especially when we attempt to visit with these people EVERY-damn-TIME we travel to Toledo; the 15-20 times we normally do in a year. But oh well, not really my problem.

Other than that, we have a wedding to go to in a few weeks. Super excited for that. The last member of Suspect Earth is finally getting married. Better be, after 17 years with his soon to be wife. xD

Oh, Pokemon Go... Awesome! Need I say more?! Lots more walking going on in our lives. Lol.

Hmm, going back to uni fell through. Of course it did. :/ It was just too difficult to go down to the university and change my name, they made the process way too difficult and involved. And of course, you can't do it online, or send it in the mail. You HAVE to do it in person or fax it over. Why the heck can't I snail mail it to the office, but I can fax it?! And there was never time/openings to go take the placement tests, except during the hours that I'm at work. Awesome. I guess I'll shoot for spring. Maybe. I dunno. Maybe I'll just go live under a rock. I'm good at that. Lol. Plus it gives me a little more time to decide what I want to go back for, seeing as anthropology may not be a cost effective thing to go back to uni for... even though I REALLY want to. :(

Vegemite = ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Saddened that season 2 of Outlander is over and now I have to wait for the next season. Nothing else to watch now. Kinda given up on a lot of shows. Oh well... more walks outside I suppose! xD

I've delved into the world of sewing once again. Broke down months ago and finally bought a sewing machine. Taught myself to use it and now it's sewing all the time. ALL the fabric. Lol. On top of that, I've also spiralled downward into the world of planners. Like daily planners.... ALL the stickers and ALL the organisation. xD

But that's enough for now. :)

ALL the things

I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve updated this blog. Well, that’s because it has been. Months. xD

Lots of things have happened since the last time I updated this. Jon and I have settled into married life quite well… not that it’s really any different than the life we had before we said “ I do”. It literally isn’t any different, other than I have a different last name. Which, by the way, fecking sucks to write out. Lol. But that being said, we’re 126 days away from our one-year anniversary. Where the heck did this year go?!?!

In other exciting news, I broke down several months ago and finally bought a sewing machine. Gone are the days of completely sewing everything by hand. I shall now make ALL the things. With the new sewing machine, I relapsed and became addicted to buying/ collecting fabric again. Eh, I do suppose there are worse things in life to be addicted to. xD

I’m now just days away from my one-year anniversary with the company I left Massage Envy (aka the devil) for… and soon to be on my third year as a massage therapist. Time sure does fly. Especially when you’re busy, and you love what you do. Which, I can’t lie, I do. I love helping people, I love being able to make people feel better… and slightly selfishly, I love being truly appreciated for what I do. : )

But other than that, the only really exciting thing that’s going on is that Jon and I are actively trying to start a family. We’re to be able to have our own little bundle of joy in the near future. Hopefully. And if we’re not meant to have children, the universe will tell us that, and we’ll start the process of saving to move to Scotland. Which is our be all, end all goal. So there’s that too.

Well, tis time to get to bed, busy week ahead of me. Hopefully I’ll be back to update this again, not that I’m sure if anyone reads this anymore.

A LOOOOOOOOOONG overdue update

So it’s been ages since I’ve posted, between a new job, wedding planning, the actual wedding, and the honeymoon… it’s been hectic to say the least.

But, that being said, I got a new job back in June, it’s a million times better than working at Massage Envy. Chiropractor’s office was a great choice and has given me so much insight.

The wedding planning went well overall. Only few mishaps here and there. The wedding itself went wonderfully overall. There are definitely things that I would for sure change if we could do it all over again. The DJ, photographer, and bagpiper ( I’d find a better one) for starters. But here are a few photos.

Jon, Neeka, and I. So glad she was able to attend.

As for the honeymoon, it was AMAZING. We went to Scotland. It was glorious. We saw and did so much. Lots of castles, whisky, haggis, and rain. xD And here are some photos from the honeymoon.

We are now officially saving for our next trip to Scotland and plan to move there in the future. But for the time being we are hoping to start a family, and I'm going back to university in the fall. I can't express how excited I am to be going back finally. Not for what I thought I wanted to do, turns out I don't want to be a nurse, the job market is overly flooded right now... and the price for it is ridiculous. I've decided to go back for anthropology and archaeology. I will probably focus on forensic anthropology for the time being. But I'm hoping to take the degree and have it help get us to our goal of Scotland eventually. :) Feel free to follow my blog about the experiences I have while going to school for anthropology.  http://journeyingthroughanthropology.blogspot.com/

5 months until the wedding.... and a little update

It's been a little while, I know. Work has been crazy, crazy busy since the beginning of the new year, and we haven't seen any sign of it slowing down. Not that I'm complaining, busy nights at work mean bigger paychecks. What with the wedding planning and all, a little extra money here and there is always nice.

We had some set backs with the wedding planning, but in the last couple of days most of them have been smoothed over. Most of them. At one point we had our honeymoon picked out, planned, and paid for... and then we decided it wasn't what we wanted, cancelled it, and started back at square one. Our original honeymoon was a 7-day Caribbean cruise... which would have been awesome, except that we didn't want to spend out honeymoon with 1500+ people. Soooo... we're going on an 8-day self drive tour of Scotland! Since it's our goal to move there in the next few years, we thought it was a great idea for Jon to see/ visit the place we eventually want to call home. Needless to say, we're more excited for the honeymoon than the actual wedding.

Other than that, not much to report. We are going to the Old West End Festival, which is uber exciting. And we plan on going to Cedar Point the weekend of my birthday, hopefully, if all works out as planned. Really looking forward to that, I haven't been to Cedar Point since I graduated high school... so forever ago.

Oh... oh..... Oh! Jess!  I have a secret. A huge secret... like uber huge secret. Like so big, it's ridiculous. However, I can't tell you about it until I see you in person... that's how IMPORTANT it is. O.O

And now, with that I bid you adieu for now. hopefully I can post something later in the week, or next week... maybe.

P.S.  Jess and Marti... you guys need to post more.....
