Another birthday has come and gone.... what fun.

So, today I celebrated my twenty-second birthday. It was nothing extravagant, just an intimate affair at home and then out with a very good friend. I'm past the point of wanting any type of huge party, it's just a birthday.

However, Jess, Charles, and I went out to see Despicable Me 2. It was great, loads of laughs and I got to spend time with my brunette partner in crime. She even got me a hot stone massage kit ( which she really didn't have to, I don't need presents to know I'm loved xP ), which is freaking awesome. Now I just have to teach myself the basics so I can use it on other people. Thankies Jess for a great birthday, I know we didn't get to see one another very long, but it was still great. ^-^

Mum and dad got me an awesome mint chocolate chip ice cream cake ( they remembered my favorite flavor of ice cream ^.^)  and a really pretty Celtic wooden cross. Even put that up on the wall in my bedroom, which is weird to see because just about everything else is off of the walls and boxed up. But oh well, it's gorgeous. 

Only real down fall to my birthday was that I wasn't able to spend any of it with Jon. Granted I did go down this past weekend for his concert and then just to spend time with him and get a bit of work done around the house to make things easier later on with the move. So, in the end totally worth it even if I wasn't able to see him today.

Keanu and I are supposed to go out Friday and either get tattoos or possibly a new piercing for me. That'll be fun, and hopefully it will work out somewhat like we planned.

On top of all that, I have a job interview tomorrow. So here's hoping that goes really well. I need the money, and the benefits. More over, I really just need the money and $10/hr base-rate pay with the possibility of $25/hr and 40 hrs a week... that's damn good money. Plus it only requires me to work one weekend a month, which wonderful to say the least. So wish me luck in the interview. ^.^

I like trains.... that is all

This is kinda going to be a rant. Sorry for that. It seems to be all I really do on here anymore. Oh well, It's my blog, I can blog about whatever the hell I want. xD

1) Why is it I do something nice for someone, and am promised payment; I always get walked all over and screwed over? I cleaned the house of a family "friend" and was promised $500 to do so, plus another $100 a month to come back a few times a month to spot clean. Needless to say, I have not been paid what is due to me. I haven't even received half of it. Then after two months of allowing these people to get their finances in order, they have the audacity to tell me that they don't spend money frivolously. I'm calling bullshit on that one. I know for a fact that EVERY time they leave the house to go out, they HAVE to but each of their three kids a new stupid toy. They are behind on rent payments, car payments, bills. And yet, they manage to have wifi, cable, iPhones and all this other unneeded crap. Yet, they can't pay for the things that are actually needed in life. The wife even told me that she'd pay me the last $20 in their account, and if their kids went hungry, then so be it. Who the fuck does that? Oh, I know... people who have no respect for themselves, others and are completely irresponsible. I honestly doubt that I'll ever see all the money they owe me, which means I'll have some lovely time spent in court with them. T-T

2) I've had several people lately tell me that I shouldn't be blogging about certain topics ever, or anymore. You know what? Screw that. I've had this blog since 2008, granted yes everything from before 2011 magically disappeared one day. But damn it, I've worked hard to somewhat keep this blog going, therefore, I shall blog about whatever the hell I want, when I want, and how I want. If you don't like that, there is an unsubscribe button.

3) I've gotten a lot of recent hate about my relationship with Jon. What the hell is that about? I mean really, do people seriously have nothing better to do? We've known one another almost 10 yrs and we've been together almost a year. Get the hell over it. Find someone else to bother.

4) The next person to tell me I need to try harder to find a job is going to get slapped. I put in applications every single day. Even on the days where I am dead tired. I babysit 3-4 days a week for 8+ hrs a day, then I come home and do the house work that no one else has time to do. I don't get paid to do any of that work, except mowing the lawn because that is actually not one of my designated tasks, that and mum/ dad both know how much sun I get when I do mow the lawn about kills my skin and causes headaches. So they "reward" me for that. Even after all that, I still after 3-4 hrs a sleep on a good night, I still wake up and apply to places, I go out and talk to people about getting jobs. So no one, unless they are me has any right at all to tell me I'm not trying hard enough.

5) I hate how much stress this whole move is causing. And what's worse, it's not even the actual move that's causing the stress. It's my father's overall reaction to it. He hates it, and because of that, he's making it a point to make everything he possibly can more difficult for me. Joy. :/

My pathetic attempt at an update....

Time for an actual update I suppose. Not that I have too much to update on, life is kinda the same basic strong of events. But that's how it goes I suppose. 

I've managed to find a somewhat temporary babysitting job, nothing special, nothing wonderful. But it makes money, and I don't have to rely on mum and dad for everything. That's always a nice feeling, actually it's a wonderful feeling. 

I've found that my car is in desperate need of several repairs, more than I was expecting. Lovely. What's worse is I only have about two months to get it all fixed up, or at least running well before the move at the end of August.  Wish me luck on that one, because I'm seriously going to need it. 

Speaking of the move, it's getting so close. I still have so much to do, so much to plan and so much to pack. It's an excited feeling, and an unsettling one at the same time. I've gone thru and downsized a good portion of the things I own, granted not the books; I can't bring myself to part with my books. Books are my passion, give me money and I'm going to spend it on books, or music. xD But the move, that's what I was talking about, not my random obsession with books and music. 150 miles is going to be fun to move all the stuff I own, which in all honesty is either books, or clothes, and a cat. A cat that hates her carrying case... that'll be fun. 

Hmm, my mum came home from Texas, I can't remember if I've mentioned that since her return. 13 weeks without her here was really odd. And sadly, she's leaving again for a new job in Midland, Michigan. Which is nowhere near as far away as Houston, so that is a huge plus. Though, she'll be away more than likely when I finally make the move from Toledo to Columbus. :/ 

Meh, I don't know what else to update you all on. Like I said, life is kinda just the same as usual. There'll be more to say once August rolls around and I have a flurry of stress and such going on. xD
