So, I have come to terms with the fact that no one really reads this blog anymore. Doesn't surprise me. It's nothing great. I don't even have time to update it regularly. My bad. It's called a busy, and very hectic schedule. But I'm still going to post on occasion, at least updates. I may start another section/ blog that is focused on my wedding planning adventures, body positivity, and maybe even one that is focused on massage therapy and my adventures in that along with my upcoming adventures in nursing school. Maybe. Big maybes.
But, as mentioned above, I'm getting ready to go back to school to get my ADN. It should only take about 2 years. Which means, I can continue to do what I do now, and then once I'm done, get a nursing job, and then go back , possibly, for my BSN.. maybe later on down the road if need be. It's all gonna depend on when Jon and I plan to start a family, which I won't lie, we both want to as soon as possible. ( He swears we're going to have twins the very first go around. o.o) We're hoping to wait until after the wedding, I say hoping because anything can happen. xD
Emm, news on the wedding, as of right now, there is actually quite a bit. Our first choice for the ceremony venue fell through. They were requiring us to have BOTH the ceremony and the reception at their site. However, we've had the reception venue picked out since day one more or less. But, that's ok, we found this wonderful little church in Maumee, and it's half the price that our first choice was. Score. We have our officiant, the wonderful family friend, Mr. Woods. I have my dress, which I'm currently holding off paying for, simply so that I can get another 6 months of them holding on to it. Because the girl apparently screwed up and it was ordered WAY too early. Moron. xD Hmm, other than that, we have some decoration ideas, not nothing really set in stone other than purple, blue, and peacock feathers. Otherwise, it's kinda whatever I find on Pinterest that I find well, interesting. ^.^
Jon and I went and saw my favorite movie on the big screen this past Sunday. Gone with the Wind. It has been my absolute favorite movie and probably book for that matter, for as long as I can remember. Meant a lot to me to have him willingly sit through an almost 4 hour movie ( we'll call it 4, since it's only shy by 2 mins. xD ) and not complain about it.
Umm, other than that. I've just been really busy with work, and such. Added more hours to my schedule, you know because that goes well with school. xD Anywho. I think that's enough for now. Yep. ^.^

Proposal related wonders...
As promised a much happier post this time around. As anyone who reads this blog knows, Jon and I got engaged back in March. However, at the time, we didn't have a ring. Well, we finally found one we loved. So when it came last week, he couldn't wait to re-propose and get the damn thing on my finger. So we went out to one of our favorite restaurants and he re-proposed to me. It was really sweet. We both ended up crying and being all sappy. On the way home, we couldn't figure out why we were such saps about it. The only thing we could come up with is that it was that it was an actual proposal this time around. He actually got on one knee, had a ring, and asked me. Which makes sense. It makes it more real.
Now this story has a slight bitter bit to it. The proposal happened last week, on Friday. So, I've had the ring for a little over a week. We noticed that the Rhodium plating of the black gold was coming off already. Now, after doing some research we found that it was pretty common, especially if the plating process was faulty. So it was very likely that was the problem. I had made sure specifically not to wash my hands with it on, use heavy cleaners, or anything like that. Anything that might destroy the integrity of the ring. Yet, the plating was coming off in less than a week. We had to call the jeweler and see what could be done. They offered to completely re-plate it again and see if it would help. But we ultimately opted to exchange it for the white gold version of the same style ring. So now it's a waiting game of them getting the old ring back, and them sending the new one to us. It feels so weird to not be able to wear my ring. I know its only been a week since I got it, but my finger feels so naked now.
Here's hoping that it is sent to us with great haste, and we have no problems with the new one. So overall, there is a happy ending to the whole story overall. ^.^ Well, dearies. I shall be off. Toodles for now.

Sorry, but not sorry...
So I have a small rant to deal with here. I'm planning a wedding, I assume my readers know this. I got engaged, so the next logical thing is to start planning a wedding. Right? ...Right.
That being said, I have to keep in mind that my parents want to pay for this event, minus the wedding gown, I flat out told them I would be paying for that, so that I get the complete and final say in that. So like I said, keeping in mind that my parents are paying for it, I want to keep the cost as low as possible. One way to do this is to have a very small wedding, and by small, I mean less than 100 people. Jon and I just want close friends and family, that is all. No people we barely know, no people who are for lack of a better term, Facebook friends. I can't do it, I can't invite every person we know, it would cost a fortune.
I don't want my parents to break the bank on this event. Yes, I know that it's supposed to be a grand affair, it's supposed to be beautiful, it's supposed to be about Jon and I, but I would feel horrible to make my family pay a fortune for it. I'm not that materialistic as that.
What Jon and I decided, please read that again, it distinctly says Jon AND I . We made the decision to only invite our close family, and closest friends. That being said, that means that there are a few people who will be invited, but not their significant other. Mostly because Jon and I don't know said significant other, and guess what? A wedding is so not the time or place to get to know your friend's significant other, it's just not. No amount or arguing, complaining, or whining about it is going to change that. I'd say that I'm sorry that these particular people are not and will not be invited, but I'm not and neither is Jon. Because, again, it is OUR wedding. If you want to invite 300 people to YOUR wedding, then you do that; however, I will not be guilt tripped into inviting these people that we don't know to a wedding.
I think that people assume that we are singling them out and being "mean" to them and their significant other. And to be honest, it is nothing of the sort. It all boils down to the cost and the lack of a true connection/ friendship with these people. I'm not going to feel sorry for that, I'm just not. If you're going to take this as a personal vendetta against you and your significant other, that's your prerogative. To each, his own, as it were.
What I love even more about this, is that people who were so set on being there, because they are so happy for us, because they are a close friend and wanted to share in such an important day in my life have since changed their tune. Now that it is known that only very close friends and family will be invited, they no longer want to come. I'm the bad guy for planning the wedding of Jon's and my dreams. Is that so wrong? Apparently the answer must be yes, I mean if I'm offending these people so much. Last I checked, I never told anyone else how to plan their wedding, and never once complained if my significant other was not invited, and neither did Jon. we understand with the economy it just not frugal to invite everyone and their mother to your wedding, especially not for a budget wedding.
And please note, we aren't just inviting our friends and not their significant other, I can tell you right now, my younger brother is invited, however his little girlfriend is not. Granted, yes there are reasons that she is not invited. Mostly because there is some serious tension and dislike between my family and her's, but that is neither here nor there. I'm just stating there we're not just doing it to friend's, we're doing it to family too. It's not anything against anyone, we have a budget and we HAVE to stick to it. End of story. No ifs, ands, or buts. Not sorry. Get over it. I'll be hurt, not gonna lie, I want my close friends and family there, but if you decide not to come to our wedding, your loss, not mine. I will have a wonderful wedding with the people who truly care about us and that is all I have to say about it. The end.

Like I said, not so much an update, more like photos I've decided need to be shared with all my readers. Hopefully I'll have more to write about in the near future. Like Schmidts. German food and adventures (again) in the German Village. Excited for that. I love German food, and this place is supposed to have some of the best in the area. Next time we go out, I'm finding a Korean restaurant, I think Jon would like that.

Bedknobs and Broomsticks ... or something like that
It's kinda about time for another more or less bi-monthly update. It works though, I suppose. Better than before where I'd go months with nothing posted here. The mobile app really helps. xD
Well, Valentine's day kinda backfired on me. I went more or less all out on it for Jon, giant Reese's cups, a sappy card/ love letter, and tickets to see Iced Earth ( our couples massage got cancelled). He however, failed to realize it was Valentine's day. Awesome. I love him to death, but damn it, he can be seriously oblivious to the world around him.
Work has been busy, but it's good. I like being busy, even if some nights I swear it's gonna kill me. I dislocated my thumb years ago, and it's weaker than my other thumb, and it likes to pop and crack a lot. So I have to find ways to work around using my thumbs, and drop more elbows, otherwise, I won't last long as a massage therapist.
Jon and I finally got around to going to Half Priced Books.... big mistake. Jess, if you read this.... it's like Ukazoo... only better. We shall go there when you come visit. Along with Cosi for the Sherlock exhibit and of course Lush in either Easton, or Polaris. Yay adventures! But back to Half Priced Books... we spent hours there, and it was awesome. Found Rant by Chuck Palahniuk, Moulin Rouge, and Chicago all for less than $12. Awesome deals.
I made a random trip to Target ( to find those pjs we saw at the one in Toledo, Jess... neither of the ones near me has them ):< ) and found the complete first season of Game of Thrones on BluRay for $30... definite score, usually it's like $50, so I'll take the discount on it I can get. Also managed to snag the Targaryen edition of season three from Best Buy for the same price as season one. Should be here in the near future. Excited for that.
I bought Jess her birthday gift, which she knows about, so I can talk about it. It's an awesome t-shirt. See the pic below if you don't believe me.

I don't remember if I mentioned it before in my past update, but Jon got me to sit down and watch The Walking Dead. Love it! Sooo much. I love zombie movies, but this show takes the cake. It's fantastic. Gory beyond belief and dramatic. Right up my alley.
Is anyone else done with the snow?! Yes, I know Toledo has gotten a lot more than the Columbus area, but damn I'm done with people who can't drive in snow and the cold in general. It's supposed to be 54 on Thursday for us, but that means lots of flooding. It was already pretty bad tonight after our freezing rain episode. Can it be summer yet?
Had a massage today, first 90 minute that I've ever gotten. Needless to say I probably won't be getting anything but those from now on. It was better than a 60 min and allowed the therapist to seriously focus on my problems and it felt wonderful. xD
Other than all that rambling the only thing I can think of is that I want/ need a kitten. I'm not ready, nor is Jon for babies of our own, so I think a kitten is a nice compromise. Right? A little fuzzy bundle of joy. xD

This may have been a mistake...
Ok, maybe not as awesome at it would seem. It actually gets pretty boring with nothing to really do. I mean the down time is nice, don't get me wrong. But today is Monday, so Keanu isn't here today, it her day off. Translation, I'm here by myself, so I don't have anyone to chit-chat with. Bleh. xD
Oh, well. It's a paycheck, I'm not going to complain too much about it. Even if info hate this job with a fiery passion, because at least I have one and I don't have to depend on my mother or father to take care of me. It's a nice feeling.
I'm both looking forward and not looking forward to my paycheck on Friday. I missed a day and half because I was I'll and had no voice. Kinda hard to do phone sales with no voice. But I may have made up for it this past weekend, I had some damn good orders and I make commission rather than hourly. So as long as I make at least what I did last paycheck, I'll be happy. That's enough to put a down payment in a used car if I choose to this month. Or it's enough to rent the moving truck to Columbus. So many choices.
This hasn't turned into a rambling blog at all. It's wonderful. What else were you expecting from me? Exactly! xD
On an even more random note, dad got grandma Bond to ride on the motorcycle, it was great.

I like trains.... that is all
This is kinda going to be a rant. Sorry for that. It seems to be all I really do on here anymore. Oh well, It's my blog, I can blog about whatever the hell I want. xD
1) Why is it I do something nice for someone, and am promised payment; I always get walked all over and screwed over? I cleaned the house of a family "friend" and was promised $500 to do so, plus another $100 a month to come back a few times a month to spot clean. Needless to say, I have not been paid what is due to me. I haven't even received half of it. Then after two months of allowing these people to get their finances in order, they have the audacity to tell me that they don't spend money frivolously. I'm calling bullshit on that one. I know for a fact that EVERY time they leave the house to go out, they HAVE to but each of their three kids a new stupid toy. They are behind on rent payments, car payments, bills. And yet, they manage to have wifi, cable, iPhones and all this other unneeded crap. Yet, they can't pay for the things that are actually needed in life. The wife even told me that she'd pay me the last $20 in their account, and if their kids went hungry, then so be it. Who the fuck does that? Oh, I know... people who have no respect for themselves, others and are completely irresponsible. I honestly doubt that I'll ever see all the money they owe me, which means I'll have some lovely time spent in court with them. T-T
2) I've had several people lately tell me that I shouldn't be blogging about certain topics ever, or anymore. You know what? Screw that. I've had this blog since 2008, granted yes everything from before 2011 magically disappeared one day. But damn it, I've worked hard to somewhat keep this blog going, therefore, I shall blog about whatever the hell I want, when I want, and how I want. If you don't like that, there is an unsubscribe button.
3) I've gotten a lot of recent hate about my relationship with Jon. What the hell is that about? I mean really, do people seriously have nothing better to do? We've known one another almost 10 yrs and we've been together almost a year. Get the hell over it. Find someone else to bother.
4) The next person to tell me I need to try harder to find a job is going to get slapped. I put in applications every single day. Even on the days where I am dead tired. I babysit 3-4 days a week for 8+ hrs a day, then I come home and do the house work that no one else has time to do. I don't get paid to do any of that work, except mowing the lawn because that is actually not one of my designated tasks, that and mum/ dad both know how much sun I get when I do mow the lawn about kills my skin and causes headaches. So they "reward" me for that. Even after all that, I still after 3-4 hrs a sleep on a good night, I still wake up and apply to places, I go out and talk to people about getting jobs. So no one, unless they are me has any right at all to tell me I'm not trying hard enough.
5) I hate how much stress this whole move is causing. And what's worse, it's not even the actual move that's causing the stress. It's my father's overall reaction to it. He hates it, and because of that, he's making it a point to make everything he possibly can more difficult for me. Joy. :/

1) Why is it I do something nice for someone, and am promised payment; I always get walked all over and screwed over? I cleaned the house of a family "friend" and was promised $500 to do so, plus another $100 a month to come back a few times a month to spot clean. Needless to say, I have not been paid what is due to me. I haven't even received half of it. Then after two months of allowing these people to get their finances in order, they have the audacity to tell me that they don't spend money frivolously. I'm calling bullshit on that one. I know for a fact that EVERY time they leave the house to go out, they HAVE to but each of their three kids a new stupid toy. They are behind on rent payments, car payments, bills. And yet, they manage to have wifi, cable, iPhones and all this other unneeded crap. Yet, they can't pay for the things that are actually needed in life. The wife even told me that she'd pay me the last $20 in their account, and if their kids went hungry, then so be it. Who the fuck does that? Oh, I know... people who have no respect for themselves, others and are completely irresponsible. I honestly doubt that I'll ever see all the money they owe me, which means I'll have some lovely time spent in court with them. T-T
2) I've had several people lately tell me that I shouldn't be blogging about certain topics ever, or anymore. You know what? Screw that. I've had this blog since 2008, granted yes everything from before 2011 magically disappeared one day. But damn it, I've worked hard to somewhat keep this blog going, therefore, I shall blog about whatever the hell I want, when I want, and how I want. If you don't like that, there is an unsubscribe button.
3) I've gotten a lot of recent hate about my relationship with Jon. What the hell is that about? I mean really, do people seriously have nothing better to do? We've known one another almost 10 yrs and we've been together almost a year. Get the hell over it. Find someone else to bother.
4) The next person to tell me I need to try harder to find a job is going to get slapped. I put in applications every single day. Even on the days where I am dead tired. I babysit 3-4 days a week for 8+ hrs a day, then I come home and do the house work that no one else has time to do. I don't get paid to do any of that work, except mowing the lawn because that is actually not one of my designated tasks, that and mum/ dad both know how much sun I get when I do mow the lawn about kills my skin and causes headaches. So they "reward" me for that. Even after all that, I still after 3-4 hrs a sleep on a good night, I still wake up and apply to places, I go out and talk to people about getting jobs. So no one, unless they are me has any right at all to tell me I'm not trying hard enough.
5) I hate how much stress this whole move is causing. And what's worse, it's not even the actual move that's causing the stress. It's my father's overall reaction to it. He hates it, and because of that, he's making it a point to make everything he possibly can more difficult for me. Joy. :/

It's been almost a month again... I'm so sorry.
It's been awhile since I late posted, sorreh... I was away with Jon for over two weeks. So, let's be honest, I'm not sorry at all.
Not a lot has happened lately. I mean other than my mum is due back from Texas in a little over two weeks now. Really excited for that, I've missed her a ton.
Em, I've had a few outings with Jess and Keanu lately, both of which were a wonderful time, even if our original plans didn't work out. Hmm, I'll be moving at the end of summer to Columbus, that's finally been decided and more or less worked out. So excited for that. ^.^ Though, I'm pretty sure my cat may hate me after the 2.5 hour drive/ 150 mile trip from Toledo to Columbus.
My nephew's 1st birthday was celebrated recently, he's grown so much since I saw him last, it's kinda unbelievable. xD On top of that I got to see and spend time with my sister Marti. Which in all honesty, was very much needed.
Finished the book I've been trying to read for over four months finally. On to the next 900+ page book on my list. xD
Speaking of books, well actually more like shows based on books. Game of Thrones (awesome series btw), is a great show. Granted they do take/ have taken several liberties with it, but it's still a good show. I honestly recommend people read the books before watching the series. Now I say this because, several people I know who have not read the books and watch the show come to me freaking out about the show. Last night was no exception, in fact it was worse than normal. Last night's episode featured the Red Wedding, (click the link if you have no idea what I'm going on about), now those who haven't read the book freaked the feck out when this episode finally got to the scene, in a horrible manner. In fact, here's a general idea of my thought process on people who haven't read the books yet. But to each his own.

Update... and a lack of toast... whatever that means
Well here we go. Update. You know, because I never do those. Ok, I don't do them enough. I've resorted to just doing surveys 80% of the time now. Not exactly interesting to be honest. So, I'm going to try (keyword there) to do an update at least once a week or maybe once every two weeks. Here's hoping I can.
So, I graduated. Yay for officially being done with university. The ceremony was nice, not as large as I thought it was going to be, but it went well. The supper afterwards was even more amusing. You know my father's general denial and such in relation to Jonathan and I. So glad I had Jess sitting between my father and I, otherwise I'm pretty sure I'd have been slapped on the back of the head multiple times. And at least now he's out of denial about a lot of it, and though he does not like/ agree with some of it, he accepts it. xD So that being said, here are some pictures from graduation.

After the graduation ceremony I ran away for the following with Jonathan. It was really good to get away, and really nice to be able spend a good amount of quality time with Jon. It was my first real Valentine's day in a relationship; the first one where I got flowers ( and my favourite ones too) from someone other than my parents. It was nice to know that someone cares/ loves me enough to do little sweet things like that for me. I'll be slightly sappy, and post a pic of the really pretty flowers I got from Jon. ^-^
I realise how horrible I am at doing this updates. I don't do much and when I do, it's not terribly interesting. Though I will admit, this last week has been quite amusing. I went with Keanu to a Past Life Regression hypnosis session, that was definitely an experience. Though, I have my own beliefs on what went on in this particular session, it was still something neat to be a part of. After that is was BD's Mongolian Grill, that it was amusing and yummy.
I also went and saw Warm Bodies with Adam. It was a decent movie, not your typical zombie movie. But it was nice to see Adam for a bit, we don't get to hang out nearly as much as we should. And we always have such an odd, but great time when we do hang out. xD
On top of that, I have managed to get both of my parents into Ayn Rand. For those of you who either don't know, or don't remember who Ayn Rand is... she wrote The Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged, and Anthem. Very philosophical and educational writer, definitely ahead of her time. But she is an amazing author, and I recommend her writing to just about anyone.
I've finally gotten enough money together to take my MBLEX test for Massage Therapy, hopefully not to much later down the road I can get enough to apply for my license and get my background check done.
In my boredom, I started watching a show called "My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding"... that was a mistake and yet it was rather amusing. Let me put it this way, the wedding dresses these gypsy/travellers come up with are either amazing or atrocious. See below for examples for the more atrocious ones... look at how big these damn things are! o..o
I think other than that, the only other thing I have to talk about is that March 13th is the Nile concert, really looking forward to that. After that, April 18th (Jon's birthday), is the 3 Inches of Blood/ Goatwhore concert... can't wait for that one. And of course, April 26th, the first Suspect Earth concert of the 2013 season. That out of all of those is what I'm most looking forward to. I love watching Jon play bass, and I love the band he's in. So basically this translates into, a week spent with Jon, who actually took time off work to be with me "full time" the week of the Nile concert. And then almost two weeks, in April. Translation, Rachael is being spoiled. xD And it also means that when I come back home, it'll be hell for me to go back to my own schedule and even harder to attempt to get any type of sleep. I've become used to and prefer sharing a bed with Jon, so when I come home to my own bed, it's hell to try and sleep because it's damn near impossible for me to get over the fact that he's not there. And oddly enough, he's the same way when I'm not there. xD We're so special, I know.
